Tips for Extending Your E-Cig’s Battery Life

For many people, the unique properties of e-cigarettes make them more palatable than smoking regular cigarettes. These include the fact that you’re inhaling liquid vapor, not smoke, and the fact that you can get a wide array of different flavors from the various e-juices you can use to vape. In spite of these upsides, one of the major downsides to using an e-cigarette is the same downside that all electronics face in our digital world, namely the limited battery life.

When you’ve got an e-cig craving, it can be frustrating to have to wait for the battery to charge before you can get a vape in. Luckily, there are a few things you can do to extend your battery life.

Use a Variable Voltage Mod
A variable voltage box mod allows you to vary the voltage levels of your e-cigarette, so you can optimize them both for temperature and for your desired battery life. This will allow you to extend your battery life by using less of the charge on a lowered voltage.

Avoid the Heat
Lithium-ion batteries in e-cigs are susceptible to heat damage, and leaving your e-cig in a warm place for extended periods of time can decrease its overall battery life. Make sure not to leave your e-cig out in the sun or inside your car on a hot day, as this will greatly compromise its battery life over time.

Don’t Drain It All the Way
Another aspect of lithium-ion batteries in e-cigs is that they shouldn’t be drained all the way. Regularly taking your e-cig down to below 40 percent battery life can affect the battery’s ability to hold a charge over time. Make sure to recharge your e-cig before it gets that low, so you can preserve battery life and keep your e-cig working for a long time to come.
